If anyone in this world deserves to be celebrated, it is, without a doubt, Jason and Heather Roenne.

I know true love, true devotion, true friendship, and true selflessness exists because I have her.

The same way those animals learn to stand. The same way the grass comes back. The same way the trees bloom like nothing ever happened.

If I become half the woman my mom is, I will consider my life a success.

This year, instead of listing what I’m thankful for, I’ve been thinking about who I’m thankful for. And I kept coming back to the Fruits of the Spirit. When I look at the people I love, I see those fruits lived out in real life.

Or a marathon, or an Ironman, or something of that nature.

The book is a collection of 40 stories about Howard Buffet's experiences, travels, and philanthropy around the globe. If you only had 40 chances to get it right, how would you spend them?

At its heart, the book is about more than farming. It is about the courage to question the way things have always been done and the persistence to build something better.

The fair is one of those rare things that still holds a whole community in one place, at one time, with one goal: to show up for each other. It doesn’t get more genuine than that.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but ranch life was teaching me more than just how to work hard. It was teaching me how to live well. A lot of it comes down to just showing up for those in need.
