Where I Come From

This is my love letter to the land and place that shaped me. Rural America. Kansas, more specifically. Growing up here and with three siblings taught me the importance of hard work, discipline, forgiveness, unconditional love, and that there is no better place to catch a sunset than a Kansas sky. I fell in love with agriculture at a young age and this is where my heart will always be. In this season of life, I am not on the ranch. But my appreciation and passion for it never waivers. Here, I will share about growing up there, what my new perspectives have revealed to me, my gratitude for my parents' sacrifice to give me the foundation, and how much I miss quiet moments on the porch with the sound of frogs croaking as the evening settles down.
