10 Things I Won't Shut Up About This Month

Every month I find myself latching onto new hyper-fixations like it’s my full-time job, and honestly? I love that about me. If we’ve talked in the last few weeks, there’s a 99% chance I’ve forced at least one of these things into the conversation. Consider this my official list of everything I simply cannot shut up about right now. You’re welcome. Or I’m sorry. Depends on the item.

  1. My below average running career

And I love it! I have been stacking those miles and wearing out my running shoes. Waking up at 6 am on weekends for run club is kind of exciting for me! Have I mentioned I'm training for a half-marathon? Not yet? Prepare to hear more about it!

  2. Chicken Shawarma Wraps

I don't know what it is, but I am obsessed. Thank the Good Lord that there is no shortage of Mediterranean restaurants in Wichita! I should probably figure out how to make it at home.

  3. My brand new niece Josephine

She is just the most precious thing. My auntie era is here!

  4. Joshua Slone's album Thinking Too Much

It is masterful. Give it a listen. There is not a single song to skip. It's like he was in my head when he was writing it. It is just on repeat for probably 7 hours of my day.

  5. I'm a bartender now!

I sort of accidentally stumbled into this position for the new steakhouse opening just a few blocks from my apartment. I've never done it before and because it is just opening, I don't really have anyone to learn from. So I have been studying my flashcards and learning as much as I can before we open in about a week!

  6. Brett Eldredge's voice

I can't explain it, but it sounds like silk to me. What a perfect time of year to listen to Mr. Christmas (his second Christmas album) and his new single Beautiful Lonely.

  7. The cinnamon rolls I made from scratch

Making these for a work chili cookoff brought back memories of making them with my mom as a little girl. It may be true that food is connected to nostalgia. I was also just so proud that I actually pulled it off!

  8. My lunch time walk

It is always so nice to spend 30 minutes outside. Even when it's cold out.

  9. I WAS CHASED BY A TURKEY ON A RUN

I wish I was kidding. And the bird would not give up. I eventually had to flip the script and chase it back. I hope the people driving by were entertained.

  10. Adoration

Getting into a routine to go see my Heavenly Father in his house has been such a gift. The greatest love story ever is contained within that white host. There is nothing like it.

All my love,

Neva
